Regina — The Regina Raiders will be relaunching their new, modern look with a new home in Regina on Friday.
A rendering of the new facility is pictured below.
The Raiders are in their 13th season of the CFL, and the team is now owned by the Regina Football Club.
The Raiders announced the news at a press conference Thursday morning.
The team will play its home games at the new Regina Coliseum, which opened in May 2017.
It will house the Raiders’ training facility and a new indoor practice facility, the team announced.
The stadium will also feature a new scoreboard and seating areas, and a retractable roof will provide additional cooling for the stadium.
The new facility also includes new seating for CFL games.
The new stadium will include two indoor practice facilities.
The indoor practice areas will include a full-size basketball court and a two-lane volleyball court.
The outdoor practice area will include turf fields.
There will also be a new locker room that will be open to the public and the Raiders will provide locker rooms for fans.
The CFL team announced Thursday morning that it will open at 6 a.m.
It’s unclear when the stadium will open for games, but it’s likely to be sometime before the start of the 2018 season.
The Regina Raiders were founded in 2016 and have played at the CFL’s Regina Exhibition Centre since 2018.
They are the second-longest-tenured team in the CFL and will be the first franchise in the league to debut at the facility.
